EDITORIAL DEPARTMENT

The Editorial Department has a vacancy for an experienced editor to work as part of a busy team to carry out all areas of editing with a focus on content editing and project management.

Desired skills and experience

  • at least two years’ experience in a similar role in ELT publishing
  • excellent copy-editing and proofreading skills
  • within the ELT sector
  • flexible, adaptable and able to deliver projects to tight deadlines
  • Cambridge or Trinity ESOL Diploma preferred

Company description

Garnet Education, the UK’s leading independent ELT publisher, is looking to recruit an experienced editor to work on a wide range of multi-component ELT textbooks. You will have responsibility for managing your own projects, working with authors, designers and typesetters to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.

The role, based in our Reading offices, offers excellent development opportunities in a friendly, rapidly expanding company.

FREELANCERS

Garnet Education is looking for freelance ELT writers, editors and proofreaders who are able to take on work at short notice. If you have a solid ELT background, and are able to travel to our offices if required, we would like to hear from you.

We are also looking for freelance designers and typesetters to work closely with our ever expanding editorial and design team on a variety of projects.
