The Skills in English Course is designed to build the skills required for lectures, tutorials, reading research and written assignments in English Level 1 of the course is aimed at students with an IELTS level of 3.0-4.5.
The Skills in English Course Level 1 Listening DVD consists of a series of lectures and helps students to develop the following listening skills introduced by the Course Book:
- understanding signpost language;
- following a narrative;
- recognizing important words;
- predicting what comes next;
- understanding spoken spellings and definitions;
- following instructions;
- identifying names;
- and identifying important words.
