Salam Affouneh
Salam Affouneh co-authored Garnet Education’s ESAP English for Nursing. She holds an MEd in TESOL from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and teaches English language courses for the Higher Colleges of Technology in the UAE.
She has been in the field of TESOL since 1996 as a teacher and as a curriculum and testing supervisor. She has planned and participated in several GE and ESP curriculum design and textbook writing projects in different academic institutions in the Middle East. She has also presented at several ELT conferences in the region and abroad.
As the International Events Coordinator for the ELT Leadership and Management SIG in IATEFL, she planned and coordinated international conferences in the UAE and Palestine. These were the first IATEFL conferences in the region with Abu Dhabi University and Qattan Center for Educational Research and Development as local partners, in addition to the British Council in the UAE and Palestine.
